HOW CLONE
DEVELOPED PRESERVED COOLED SEMEN
In
the early years of research at CLONE George Govette realized there
was a need to develop a solution to keep semen viable for many days,
for the use on a bitch when a owner or a handler was unable to take
the bitch with them on a show circuit where the stud dogs
might be. It would also keep bitches from close proximity of other
studs or bitches in the van thus not upsetting them, which might
take the edge off them winning.
In 1982 while researching a system to freeze canine
semen to experience extra good results, CLONE developed a
solution - still unique in the world:
- that actually enhanced semen properties
by
correcting any possible problems with the semen
- kept it alive for long periods of
time - for more than 14 days maintaining great motility
and still able to impregnate a bitch.
This system was used many times in the early 1980's already and
actually proved to work better than natural breeding. It was also
shipped through the mail with many none AKC dogs. When this system
was approved by the AKC, CLONE was again in the forefront with this
system that they already developed.

KIT
This is a
unique ready to use system for collecting semen from a
stud dog and express
shipping the semen for the insemination of a
bitch. It has been widely used
in the United States for over 20 years
with great success, by veterinarians as
well as by breeders. The
semen is collected, preserved with the
special solution developed by Clone, packed in the
box and shipped by the fastest
means. The semen then cools down during the shipment and will be
ready to be activated and inseminated
in the bitch with a simple regular AI at the arrival.
Using this system, in over 11000 breedings done
all around the world, the
conception rate has been around
86 %. When inseminated
by CLONE personnel, the conception rate was even better, 94.2 %. Nothing
can beat that, not even natural
breeding, where the conception rate is approx.
83 %. So, by testing the bitch to pinpoint her most fertile period and using
the CLONE system, the conception rate has paradoxically improved.
The convenience and ease
of utilizing this technique has many
great features. It can be used by anybody, no special training is needed
as the instructions are so clear. Studs from all over the world can be utilized, shipping of
bitches and the associated problems are removed, the long dreaded problem
of stress to the bitch and the bitch owner is ended, the problem of change
to the bitch's diet and the shipping arrangements and associated shipping
and boarding fees are eliminated.
Venereal disease is almost eliminated by reducing the direct contact of
a stud dog to many bitches from many geographical areas.
